Who we are

I’ll Be Around Catering was formed in 2006, and is operated by the Purtill Family from Albury – with Mary being the head of the organisation.

Although coming from a large family where she did a lot of food preparation, Mary gained much of her cooking experience whilst working as a Coach Tour Cook during the 1980’s and 1990's.

Her love of food and cooking continued through the next 2 decades and culminated in formal qualifications by attaining Certifcate IV in Commercial Cooking.

The name came about when Mary was organising the staff and their chores for a wedding. At a point of exasperation when it seemed that everybody had been given almost more work than they could manage, Mary was asked what she would be doing.

She replied – “I’ll be around”….

And so the company was named
